Mad Hatter's Day

Another reason for a party in October is Mad Hatter's Day!  The official date is October 6th because of the classic Alice in Wonderland illustration showing a slip of paper tucked into the Mad Hatter's hat that reads 10/6.  It is a day to celebrate the silly, the unusual, and the absurd.

The Mad Hatter enjoyed many a cup of tea and we hope he would be delighted to see our exhibit of unusual tea cups and tea pots, on loan from members of the Concordia community.  You can vote for the best and the winner will receive a tea-themed gift basket!

Canadian Library Month

October is much more than pumpkins and midterms, it is also Canadian Library Month.  Concordia Library is celebrating with a display of classic literature for young people.  Take a peek and see if you can find one of your favourites!  Learn more about Canadian Library Month at the Canadian Library Association's website:  http://www.cla.ca/clm09/

Use RefWorks to help with your research!

RefWorks is an amazing online tool that will help organize references for your papers and then format those references in APA, MLA or citation styles.  RefWorks drop-in workshops will be held later in the semester, but for now please check out Concordia Library's RefWorks site.
